The Editor’s Note for this issue is presented by April Pacis, the Family Law Quarterly Student Editor in Chief for the 2021–22 academic year. Congratulations to April, Executive Articles Editor Fatin Assaf, and all New York Law School Editorial Board members, Senior Editors, and Junior Editors for wonderful work on this issue and throughout the academic year.

Thank you to our authors, whose remarkable contributions are summarized in a separate Introduction, and to the FLQ Board of Editors for their work in planning and writing for this issue. Thank you also to ABA Family Law Section Chair Candace B. Peeples and Family Law Section Director Cindy Swan; and to ABA Designer Betsy Kulak, ABA proofreader Betsy Blumenthal, and ABA Director of Digital Publishing Kyle Kolbe. Additionally, thank you to NYLS Dean Anthony W. Crowell; Associate Dean William P. LaPiana; the NYLS faculty, administration, and staff; and Diane and Arthur Abbey.

Finally, thank you and congratulations to Lisa Comforty, Managing Editor for ABA Publishing and specifically for the FLQ. Lisa will be retiring this spring after working with the ABA for almost 15 years. She has been Managing Editor for the FLQ for the past six years, and her contributions have been nothing short of extraordinary. During this time she has collaborated with multiple editors and presided over significant changes to the publication process. In her role, Lisa has drawn on her background in and passion for family law, her editorial expertise, and her managerial skills to promote excellence and serve as an example for us all. Lisa C.: We sincerely appreciate all you have done for the FLQ, the Family Law Section, and the family law community generally, and wish you the best as you begin this next chapter.
