She served as Chair and Commissioner of the New York City Commission on Human Rights from 2014 to 2021, following more than a decade in private practice as an advocate for employees’ rights in the workplace. Throughout her career, Malalis has shown a fierce commitment to preventing and prosecuting discrimination and tolerance and promoting diversity and inclusion. She was awarded a 2020 Stonewall Award by the ABA’s Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Commission.
