On September 15, 2016, the Project recognized outstanding volunteer law firms and attorneys and marked its 30th anniversary at its annual awards dinner. Exceptional Service Awards were presented to law firms Jenner & Block and Steptoe & Johnson, and the John Paul Stevens Guiding Hand of Counsel Award was presented to Sylvia Walbolt of Carlton Fields.
