Please join us as Jeff Paravano and Andrew Grossman, lead tax counsel in the Supreme Court case, Moore v. United States, and co-panelist Lisa Zarlenga discuss the nuances and intricacies of and implications of the Supreme Court's June 20th opinion in Moore. Described by some as the most important constitutional tax case in the last 100 years, Moore challenged the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals' determination that realization is not required for federal taxation of income without apportionment, as well as the constitutionality of the mandatory repatriation tax ("MRT") enacted as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Topics that will be discussed include, among others: What does Moore mean for corporate and entity taxation, and proposals regarding mark-to-market taxation of appreciated assets and wealth taxes? What are the broader federal, state and international tax implications of Moore?

Panelists: Andrew Grossman, BakerHostetler; Jeff Paravano, BakerHostetler; Lisa M. Zarlenga, Steptoe LLP
