      Tax apportionment clauses are often overlooked, but can have a significant impact on an estate's tax liability and the amounts received by beneficiaries. This presentation will provide an overview of the federal and state transfer tax apportionment statutes, the interplay of those statutes with estate plan provisions, and practical approaches to drafting apportionment provisions.
