The Ninth Circuit is the largest appellate court and attendees of this program will hear from two Ninth Circuit sitting judges who will address general appellate topics, the courts' mediation program, and the courts local rules. Two appellate lawyers on the panel will also discuss more specific issues such as virtual oral arguments in during the pandemic. At the end of the program, attendees will:
- Understand best practices for writing appellate briefs and presenting oral argument.
- Recognize the unique characteristics of the Ninth Circuit that differentiate it from other appellate courts and
- Evaluate the best way to prepare clients for Ninth Circuit litigation, including mediation.
