Appellate Councils

The Appellate Judges Conference welcomes attorneys who practice in the appellate courts. Membership in one of two councils, the Council of Appellate Lawyers (CAL) and the Council of Appellate Staff Attorneys (CASA) is available to those who are eligible. CAL and CASA members are eligible to enroll in their Councils respective committees.

Council of Appellate Lawyers

The first and only national appellate bench-bar organization. CAL's mission is to foster a dialogue among federal and state appellate lawyers and judges that will improve appellate advocacy and strengthen ties among the numerous appellate bar associations.

Council of Appellate Staff Attorneys

A nationwide network of state and federal appellate court attorneys, including central staff attorneys, in-chambers staff attorneys and other lawyers employed by the appellate courts.
